St Patrick's Day Fiasco

Well, it's finally time to update the blog after a long hiatus. I will start with St. Patrick's Day. As you all know, it is imperative to eat something green on St Patrick's Day. It is preferable that the food is artificially colored. Fortunately for us March is also the month of Dr. Seuss's birthday. One of Sophie's assignments was to cook and eat green eggs and ham. So, we had green eggs and ham for dinner. Mom got a little overzealous with the food coloring and the eggs ending up looking like green Play-Doh. Rachel and Peter were thrilled with their eggs, but Mom and Sophie had a hard time getting over the radioactive green color. Sophie finally cooked some regular yellow eggs and had those for dinner.

Introduction Extrodanair

Hello all. I have decided to start a blog because we are so far away from so many friends and family. This goes against every fiber of my being so we will see how diligent I am about updating this site. Right now we are anxiously anticipating the end of optometry school. We are all very ready to have some more stability in our lives. Marty has started his fourth and final rotation. One of his first days at the rotation he was doing crossword puzzles during lunch when the doctor walked in. He took one look at what Marty was doing and said, "I don't think you know enough to be doing that." Marty held up the book and said, "No, they're the easy ones." The doctor was implying that Marty should be studying optometry during lunch rather than "wasting" the time, but that wasn't what Marty thought at first. The other students thought Marty was being really cheeky and the doctor was not amused at his comment. Marty got a really good laugh out of it.
